On the Outside
The CD cover art shows 16 girls floating in the sky. They are all wearing similar strapless, white and blue dresses with layered skirts and give us the feeling of feathers. You get a gorgeous image of each of them, some of them are smiling, others are doing sexy poses.
The font of the text is white against the blue background that continues on the back cover, which has a very minimalistic design, we can see only the title of the CD and the track list containing two songs. It also says that both songs were performed by all the members of the 4 units.
On the Inside
After opening the plastic case, we get the same blue background on the CD itself. There are no surprises here, and no other pictures of the girls. The CD itself has the basic information of the song titles and the staff who worked in the production of it printed with a nice font in blue and white.
The slip case gives us a two page booklet with more specific credits. The booklet has no images inside, but it has the lyrics of both songs in Japanese, so it serves its purpose well.

“BRILLI@NT WING 01 Spread the Wings!!”
The first track, “Spread the Wings!!”, starts off with a lovely piano melody which is suddenly joined by atmospheric syncs. The vocals comes in high pitch saying ‘Spread the Wings’. This song also have some heavy guitars riffs in the middle, the tempo is fast, is the perfect song to get you up in the morning with a positive and energetic message.
The second track “Multicolored Sky” continues the trend of starting with a slow piano melody and then building more speed with a guitar leading the vocal parts. But this song is much more slower and has a melancholic vibe to it. It really sounds like a farewell; like something is ending. This could be a bedtime song that will lead you to the land of dreams.
You get only 10 minutes 28 seconds of these talented idol girls singing to you. This is the first of several single albums that will be released under the name of THE IDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS. This single album is only the introduction of the new units and the girls’ styles, I hope we will be getting more singles performed by each unit independently. The goth girls unit sounds very interesting.
